Hi Frank, This page is meant to give you a thorough overview of how your version of VMT is performing. I'm including this personalized review of your statistics to help you understand how they could be interpreted, and how you should go about testing and analyzing them on your own. We're going to cover download statistics first, and then your "pass-arounds", mixing them both in along the way. Naturally, you know your products and subscribers best so hopefully I can give you a few ideas and shed a little light on some of the more advanced statistics on this page so you can use them to your fullest. First, let's review a few facts about your statistics:
So let's look a little deeper into what some of these statistics mean ... With 1366 downloads in 217 days you're getting an average of 6.29 downloads per day which is good. If you've had higher interest in your version previously, it might be time to give your users a little nudge and let them know about it again. There's a definite trend in download numbers dropping over time depending on how visible your version is to your subscribers. Keep it in front of them by mentioning it in your newsletter, sig file, or on posts, and this download rate will rise. You might also want to pay attention to the fact that Friday is your busiest download day. Either you've been sending out announcements regularly on that day or the day before, or it's an indication that many of your users are online and actively looking for your type of business during that time of the week. Many of your downloads have taken place around 16:00 which indicates that either you've been announcing it around this time of day, or that many of your users are online around this time. This could give you a little insight into when your users are most responsive. If this statistic doesn't coincide with when you generally send out your newsletter or announcements, you might want to test announcements around this time of day and see if your response rate increases. Keep a few things in mind when you're analyzing these statistics - your version has been available for quite some time - around 7 months. With that much time to have your version out in front of your users and subscribers, these statistics should be giving you a fairly accurate view of how your version is perceived. As long as you've been consistently placing your version in front of your subscribers and website visitors' eyes, you can safely use these statistics to keep planning around - whether it's VMT you're promoting, or any products or newsletters. Remember, it all comes down to testing! Keep a close eye on these numbers and log the changes in your own tactics to see the differences in what you do, and how your subscribers are impacted by it. Now let's scroll down and have a look at some of your pass-around numbers ... |

Pass-around statistics show you everything you need to know about how and when your messages are getting passsed around, which ones are most effective, and what kind of content your users really enjoy. First, we'll have a look at your most frequently passed around messages:
Keep an eye on your most popular tips, because they give a real solid indication of the type of content your users enjoy sharing. This is valuable when you're writing your newsletter and developing products. The "Self-Sent" statistic indicates how many times messages were passed from one person to the same person - basically, people sending themselves your tips. This sounds a little strange, but there is good reasoning behind it. Many people like to save the content and instead of printing it out, they simply send it to themselves and store it that way. Your self-sent percentage is 11.88. This is a mid-range percentage and indicates that a small portion of your users enjoy storing your tips for their own purposes. If you're distributing technical tips, perhaps they're saving them for that rare occassion when they know they'll need them. If you're sending motivational or inspirational tips, perhaps they want to keep it around to remind them of something. Either way, it's good that they're seeing your content and saving it for themselves. It's also good that they're passing around a larger percentage of tips to others. |
